Dr. Pedro Frommer, MD, FACP, FRCP(C)


Dr. Frommer is the Medical Director of the Renal Access Clinic. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.
 
Dr. Frommer is one of the most experienced Interventional Nephrologists in the U.S. with more than 30 years of combined experience in Nephrology and in Interventional Nephrology. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and ASDIN Certified in Interventional Nephrology.
 
Dr. Frommer is experienced in Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Acid-Base Imbalances, Hypertension, Kidney Transplantation, Acute and Chronic Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis.
Dr. Sumia Rashid, MD

Dr. Rashid is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and is ASDIN Certified in Interventional Nephrology. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Kashmir in Kashmir, India. Dr. Rashid completed her Internship, Residency and Fellowship in Nephrology training at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She is a member of both the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation.

Dr. Rashid is a highly qualified Interventional Nephrologist and is experienced in the treatment of Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, Acid-Base Imbalances, Kidney Transplantation, Acute and Chronic Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis.
 
Dr. Christos Katsigiannis, MD, FACS, FCCP

Dr. Katsigiannis is Board Certified in Thoracic, Cardiac and General Surgery. He completed his medical education from Texas Tech University health Sciences Center School of Medicine and his Residency and Fellowship was completed at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Katsigiannis has over 30 years of combined experience with 23 years of cardiovascular surgery. He specializes in creating Arteriovenous (AV) Fistula and Graft, Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Catheter Insertion, Peripheral Arterial Disease evaluation and intervention as well as any renal access interventional procedures with an excellent success rate.
 
He has lived in the Houston area for more than 20 years and enjoys spending time with his daughters. Dr. Katsigiannis maintains an excellent beside manner with all his patiens and takes the time to explain the process of their procedures making them feel comfortable to ask any questions.
 
Cristian Rivera, AGPCNP-C
 
Cristian is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner credentialed with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He completed his Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree at The University of Texas in Arlington and then went on to complete his Masters of Science in Nursing Degree at The University of Texas Houston Health Science Center.
 
Prior to joining Interventional Nephrology Associates, he worked for four years at Memorial Hermann Katy, as a Medical-Surgical nurse. As an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Cristian assesses and treats Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Dialysis, Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes, and numerous other comorbidities. He works closely with Dr. Frommer, Dr. Katsigiannis and Dr. Rashid in both the operative setting at Heights Surgery Center.
 
In his spare time, Cristian enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and family.
